Stress affects millions of people every day.  Sometimes stress is so severe that it causes a variety of physical symptoms.  It's important to know the symptoms of severe stress so that the source of the stress can be addressed right away.

Physical Symptoms of Stress

Stress is a very serious matter and should not be taken lightly. While everyone has stress at some point in their lives be it from relationship problems, financial difficulties or simply being stuck in traffic, it's important to be on the look out for physical symptoms that can be potentially life threatening.

Here are some of the common physical symptoms of stress:

  • Upset stomach (may lead to vomiting)
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Tension Headaches
  • Back aches
  • Neck pain
  • Unexplained indigestion
  • Missing monthly menstrual periods (women)
  • Hyperventilating (shortness of breathe)
  • Skin rash
  • Unexplained weight loss

  • Muscle Spasms
